At least according to this Yahoo article, Clark will pound the bejeebus out of Bush at the polls. Bush mighta oughtta just quit today.
Yes, it seems General Wesley Clark outpolls George Bush if the election were held today, 49 - 46.
It's not clear whether Clark is really well known and respondents to the poll are just conflating their facts. I'd feel more comfortable with the poll if some other questions had been asked. Such as:
1. Here's a photo lineup of the Democratic presidential candidates. Can you pick out General Wesley Clark?
2. Here's a picture of famed Allied WWII commander Gen. Mark Clark, and Wesley Clark. Please tell us which one is which.
3. Here's a picture of Wesley Crusher, and another picture of Wesley Clark. Which one would you vote for for president?
4. Here's a picture of Gulf War heroes General Norman Schwarzkopf and Colin Powell, and General Wesley Clark. Please tell us which one it was you wanted to vote for.
5. Can you name a Democratic presidential contender, other than Hillary Clinton, AlGore, and Bill Clinton?
6. Free association: Clark_ _ _ _ _ (Note: "Bar" is not an acceptable answer. "Kent" may be. "is BritSpeak for "clerk" is fine...)
and finally:
7. Here's a picture (scroll 2/3ds down) of a brutal, murderous general who happens to be a convicted war criminal, and a picture of another guy who is running for the presidency who is wearing the war criminal's hat, and who is an accused (not convicted) war criminal. Which one is the convicted, heinous war criminal, and which one is his buddy?
7a. If the guy running for president throws his hat into the ring, should he throw in his U.S. Army cap, or the cap belonging to the convicted war criminal which he is wearing in this picture?
