MSNBC at about 1100 pm Central time reports that Gore has cut Shrubs lead to 700 votes. Maybe the US won't be led by a puppet after all.
I think Nader hurt himself most because he did not follow his earlier pledge to campaign in only Gore safe states and after the ball started rolling people in all states realized what Nader may do and pulled back their support. If Nader had stayed in Gore safe states he might have received more votes.
As far as absentee ballots in Florida. News reports are that a lot of them may come from Israel and that there are a lot of minorities in the military as well. Hopefully these will go Gore's way.
A question for everyone, how far should Gore take this dispute, especially the Palm Beach ballots?
God, despair fills me thinking we will be looking into Bush's vapid eyes and see Cheney's crooked smile, while Baker III et al are running things behind closed doors....while oil money and big polluters continue to poison all our spirts...(with many of us unwilling to pull the veil from in front of our eyes)..
