Icon production values with triage and bedtime stories

Hi Folks,
I've recently been listening to `Triage` and `Bedtime Stories` a lot more regularly. One thing I noticed (and it's probably not a new observation in these circles) is that both albums seem to be in two distinct halves. The first part tends to be the passionate and angry songs while the second half is more reflective and introspective.

The only other album I can think of that's similar is Richard Thompson's `You Me Us` (and before the stock response comes in from a certain someone...I don't think that that album's any better than any of Monsignor Baerwald's output!) The first part of Thompson's cd is electric and the second is acoustic.

Does anyone else see the comparison? (Monsignor Baerwald included!) I do quite like the idea of a double album on one cd...was it a definite decision to put the raging songs first and close with reflection?

All for now,
Richard
