Scott,
A big thumbs-up on David Mead. I recently heard "Robert Bradley's Postcard" for the first time, and was moved to obtain copies of both albums. I haven't had a chance to listen to "Yours & Mine" yet, 'cause I've been digging so hard on "Luxury Of Time"...
Also enjoying the latest from John Gorka (uneven as always, but some nice high points), "The Places You Have Come To Fear The Most" by Dashboard Confessional (if you like Mead, you might like this, too), the latest Sopranos soundtrack (I bought it for that cool "Every Breath You Take"/"Peter Gunn" mix, but that's far from the only reason to listen), and the brand spanking new release from Billy Pilgrim, "Billy In The Time Machine" (www.billypilgrim.net).
Concerts this summer include Spinal Tap (hooray!), Randy Newman, Bruce Hornsby, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Oh, and also, my promotion company is bringing Glen Phillips (ex-Toad The Wet Sprocket) to San Jose in July, so of course I'll be there as well.
