in 1916. I'll never forget, as a young boy, seeing "nicholas and alexandra", and its tragic end.
i don't know what the hell my parents were thinking, letting me see that movie. i was probably
five, and the sight of the wall behind the family erupting in blood was literally seared into my memory. I remember being convinced that my family, too, were destined for execution. my sisters teased me with it for years. careful what you let your children see.
