This is a time of exaggerated passions and fears.  While there are good reasons for this,
may I please request that we demonstrate a little restraint and calm?

While it appears to be true that the Model State Emergency Health Powers Act is being debated in both Houses, that is far from implying that it will be written into law, particularly with all of its provisions intact.  So, yes, protest, write letters to congressmen and senators, discuss these things with friends and colleagues, but most importantly, be calm.

Attempting to rewrite history to serve your emotional needs is no way to behave.  i know that that's a popular activity right now, but all you're going to do is make people
mad.
