I personally believe that we can reach beyond the demographic to a degree and give folks some credit for having an open mind. ( although it doesn't prove true in all cases. )
I have managed to draw in a few folks from a "folk" oriented list as well as some real open minded prog-rock fans.
You gotta reach in there and find the willing.
