Who really thinks corporate America gives a shit about the poor and minimum wage?
If it were up to corporate America wages would be one cent an hour and with 16 hour workdays for men, women and children.
As for the evil democrats and big goverments full of social programs, over the last couple of decades, who as really increased government more, the nasty liberals or full of crap conservative?
Who wants to decide what women do with their bodies?
Who wants to shred the constitution and its protections for freedom?
Who keeps spending us into bankruptcy on needless weapon purchases that don't even work and even the MILITARY doesn't want?
Who wants to monitor what we read in public libraries, on the internet and what we do in our own homes?
The list goes on and on and it isn't the nasty old liberals who keep enlarging government, it's the meddlesome conservatives.
(On a side note, why is it so acceptable to always compare liberals to people like Khan when if liberals did the same to conservatives, such as comparing them to the KKK, it would be unacceptable?)
Some of your arguments are statistically off as well. Back in the 50's 20k was a lot different than 20k today. And the needed items certainly haven't gone up as you predict.
When businesses start to play fair with workers will be the day when we can seriously start thinking of ending things such as minumum wages. But in the meantime, I guess all these companies will just have to make due with profits created by their illicit support of sweatshops and overseas and foreign workers.
