What I meant was that it was a surprisingly lucid comment from a person who usually spent his time making people laugh. This guy was a vaudeville clown before he was on television back in the early days of the medium.

But, just as with BILL HICKS, the most blatant truths are hidden inside or between jokes.

That is what I meant by my comment.
