Charts may not be important to you or me but
they can act as a booster for a release like this one.
The Americana chart, for instance, is a little different then the billboard chart that you probably love to loathe.
It is based upon radio airplay reports and less on sales figures.
You tend to see a lot of "under the radar" independent label acts on the americana chart that you would not see elsewhere.
It gives the artists a chance that don't have the tons of marketing money that comes from the big label (s).
It has to be a good thang.
If nothing else other DJs see it on the chart and maybe find that copy they threw in the pile and give it a whirl.
Then hopefully someone on the other end of the radio hears "Compassion" and says "hey, I think I'll seek that one out."

People see it on Amazon's little chart and they might just take a chance on it based on customer reviews.

I know it's fashionable to hate all of the industry dogma but if it helps to get HCTNFU into a few more ears then what's the harm, eh wot?
