: ***... and Sonny Landreth is a wizard and a half.***
: For those of you who haven't heard of SL he really is a fantastic musician. His cd "South of I-10" is 5 stars. Not a bad song on it. He has a great voice and plays a sweet slide.
Outward Bound is pretty darn incredible also.
I have Sonny's new one but I haven't spent enough time with it yet as to raise it up to the level of these two.
I met Sonny once and he is a damn nice fellow, he even gave me his thumb pick that he used that night.
Sonny also guests on:
Webb Wilder's "Doo Dad" ( out of print )
( Meet Your New Landlord )
and
John Mayall's "Sense of Place"
( Congo Square and Sugarcane )
These two along with "South of I-10" also share
the talent of Producer R.S. Field.
Sonny also guests on the Jerry Douglas album "Restless on the Farm".
Two incredible players.
