Irish:
Since the 10,000 Maniacs come from Jamestown, New York, a small town outside and south of Buffalo, NY, I have seen these guys (and gal) tons of times. They are one of my all-time favorites, and I have always enjoyed them live.
However, I feel that Natalie shafted the rest of the band, and went solo. Oh well, that's the way it goes in the music BUSINESS!
However, the exit of Natalie Merchant did not spell the end of the Maniacs. John Lombardo, the original guitarist, rejoined with his female singing and violin partner, Mary Ramsey, and today, they are actually just as good as they were with Natalie.
Just thought I would throw my own Buffalo Nickel worth of an opinion into the mix!
Peace and Prayers,
