: So they scare christians, huh? Very cool.
Well, I should add a little more background, so this statement doesn't start a little war on this board. When I saw 16 Horsepower and The Innocence Mission play in a small club years ago, I went to the show to see The Innocence Mission. A few hours before the gig, I saw The Innocence Mission play a short acoustic set at a Borders bookstore. After the short set, they had a signing session before the concert at the club. I got my stuff sighned by the band and decided to hang out for awhile. There was much talk of Jesus and God amongst the fans and the band. I was well aware of the fact that Karen and Don Peris(T.I.M.)were a Catholic couple and Karen writes many songs about her present faith and past in her songs. When we arrived at the club, I noticed that the same crowd from Borders were there. I also noticed a large crowd of Lesbians(the person I went to the show with happened to be a lesbian and she knew many of the girls in the audience). When 16 Horsepower came out to play their opening set I watched the crowd's reaction to the band's appearence and their music. There were many frighten faces in the crowd. Not me! I was blown away by their musicianship and dark tales of fire and brimstone. As I stated before, I purchased all their CD's at the time. I have all of their releases, but the latest. My favorites are still the first EP and "Low Estate".I've heard very good things about the new record. I will be buying it as soon as I can.
Cheers,
Kevin.
