and don't be sorry, I enjoyed your post. Back in days when I would go to numerous stadium shows, it was always refreshing to see a act I never heard before. I remember seeing Lone Justice open for U2 twice. Now, I was already a fan of the band prior to the shows, but it was a blast to talk to U2 fans about their music after the set. They all just "had to get the record"! Your point on Ben Folds could have been more correct! He has allways supported lesser known artists including Travis and The Divine Comedy as well! The point about Dylan having Paul Kelly open for him in Australia is interesting (don't get to pissy, Dylan fans!), because I would argue that Paul Kelly is probably just as popular in Australia as Dylan. Paul is Ausralian and considered by many to be a "National Treasure". Plus recently he has sold a wee bit more records than Dylan, in his native country.
