We have an enlarged tent of opposition to Trump, and one of our goals should be to grow it. And that means continuing to include Never Trumpers and any other decent, and patriotic centrists and conservatives. I fear that small differences among us can harm the cause, and we end up eating our own. Here is a nice definition of the Narcissism of Small Differences: "The narcissism of small differences" is a phrase coined by Sigmund Freud, describing the phenomenon where people who are otherwise very similar tend to focus on and exaggerate minor distinctions between each other, leading to conflict and hostility, often stemming from a need to assert their own unique identity and superiority over those seemingly close to them; essentially, the more alike people are, the more they might fight over small differences." We have to find ways to offer different opinions and counter arguments in civil and productive ways. Message boards are great to a point.
