By "you," I mean anybody. I would like to try to at least explain my point of view. It's tricky, because though this is Dan's site, it has my name in the title, which gives any arguing or even debating that I may engage in with somebody a kind of mini-bully pulpit, which is unfair to whoever I'm debating with. But at the same time, this inherent unbalance leaves me vulnerable to the accusation of bullying if i confront anybody. But because it's under my name, i have to. Each case is different.

There is Pat Brown, whom I met with personally in Austin way back when to beg unsuccessfully that he stop stalking me, and to please stop posting his heinous disinformation here. No apologies there. There are his cohorts in bad politics and drunk history, like Dale, and Marc, or Green River, etc... No apologies there.

Then there's the dustup with Mick. I was hoping against hope that the US would not make the awful mistake of re-electing Donald Trump. Mick felt differently, believing that Trump would be better for Palestine, believing seemingly that he was the only one who cared about the violent death of children.

He was vocal about it, used a lot of cunts and bitches. I told him off. He told me off. "Fuck you!" "Fuck you back!" I don't think Mick is a terrible guy. He's not Pat Brown. But he is or was so intoxicated by the beautiful music of his self-congratulatory grief that he did not see the absurdity of depending on Donald Trump to save the Palestinian people.

Then there are Joe and Eric, neither of whom I intended to drive away. In the case of Joe, I simply did not understand what he was trying to say. In the case of Eric, I was irritated by the vague calls to "play hardball and work the refs," to "get down and dirty.". When I listed some of the many ways the fascists "work the refs and play hardball," like political violence, blackmail, extortion, ginning up vigilante groups, blowing up places of worship, etc, saying "you mean, play hardball like that?" he  took offense, and left. I'm sorry about that, but so be it.

I'm all for big tents in politics and peace marches. But we're past politics and peace marches for the foreseeable future.
