Trump painted himself into a corner.  The rare earth agreement was a poison pill, which he never expected Zalinsky to consider, giving him an easy out.  That failed and France & Britain pledged peacekeeping troops - Turkey joined in with the added demand that all territory - including Crimea - be returned.  The three nations wanted a seat at the negotiating table and the assurance that the US would step in if things went south.

Putin could not have this - it had to be stopped.  Thus the escalating freak outs during the Macron and Starmer visits which led to today's blow out with Zalinsky.  Totally calculated, totally despicable.

Well, the isolationists got their way.  Within 6 months, this country will stand alone in the world.  No trade, no investments, no diplomacy, no travel, no intel.   So when some country the CIA fucked with in the last 50 years lobs a terrorist attack at us, the response will be `YAWN`  "Sucks to be you".
