Imagine if you will an airstrike with missiles here in the US taking out the top 1/3 of the executive branch and half of the legislative and most of the judicial. Maybe a few hundred innocents were caught in the crossfire. Can we imagine that there would be some celebrations that an AP photographer could capture? Maybe some online postings expressing joy at the "relief"? And what if the perpetrators of these surgical strikes just left a message that said "we hope the people can rise up and take over". How would that happen? Would local election groups across the nation set up immediate elections. Would the 65th in line of the Presidency just assume the role? Would milk prices change? Would my check up next month still happen?

Or would the whole place just fall apart in this power vacuum?
