The reason I asked about the NRA is that I  have many friends that are members but I have hard time affiliating myself with them. I find the fact that their President (Charlton Heston) and main spokesperson is also a strong supporter of censorship to be hypocritical.

This leads me to believe that if they have a president that has no problem giving up or taking away certain freedoms (of speech) what else do they support. This Earth Charter thing is new to me and I am curious how you know they support it? If this is true and they are willing to give up other rights, it leads me to believe that they do not really rally around their members beliefs as a whole.

I absolutely support the right to bear arms but often wonder if the NRA is a good way for me to show my support. Are there other avenues?
