My obsession with this topic is both personal and professional. I am a Neurologist, and very recently became interested in pain management. Opioid medications are often involved, and the biologic basis both for their action, and possible problems with dependence and addiction got me motivated to really study this area in some depth. OK, I'll be quiet now. I've over-posted.
