What about Saddam's complete defiance of at least 16 UN resolutions over the past 13 years?  Did the government lie about that? If he can just ignore anything the UN mandates, doesn't that make that organization just a little bit irrelevant?  What's the point in having resolutions if you never do anything to back them up?   On top of that,  Saddam also was illegally circumventing the sanctions  imposed for his bad behavior. And for those Iraqis who weren't outright killed or tortured for not towing the Saddam line life was still hell.    (I thought you people on the left were the humanitarians anyway?).  Saddam was a bad citizen that needed punished and it was pretty damned obvious to me that nobody else had the stones to do it. 

So yeah, that reason right there was good enough for me to support going to Iraq.
