I know you probably cut and pasted your original post so they are not your words but the comparison it made was a little skewed wouldn't you say? It made you appear to say Israel is far more dangerous than Iraq.
Yeah, I guess in that first post I should have given a little more explanation of where I was coming from. I did go and find the info then pasted it here because I thought it was a great example of how we use only the info we choose. I think the problem when you begin to lay something like that out is...you know what you mean so what you write seems clear to you but others won't always get the gist. So, I certainly apologize if anyone was upset by that.
Well, I did explain it in more detail in my response to Gene so I hope nobody is under the impression that it was meant as something to show Israel is more dangerous than Iraq. It was, as I said, meant to show how the United States only uses the available information to suit it's own interests. It also shows how we see things one way here in the United States but other countries looking at our track record will say "Hell, now they're interested in UN resolution violations? What a bunch of two faced liars!" because we exhibit no consistancy. Not at all a way to build a coalition against a "War On Terror".
Yikes! If you think that comparison is "fair and balanced" (hee hee hee!) you ARE nuts! But that's ok. You're at home here. ;-))
Well, of course I'm nuts! I think we all know that. The info presented on it's own is probably not "fair and balanced" but presented with an explanation I think clearly shows the level of dishonesty...or half truth...we get from our politicians. See, that's the problem...to a politician it's ok to distort the truth like that if it fits the agenda. If our media does not call them out on this...well then we all lose...because then we have people formulating opinion on half truths that were bent to fit an agenda. We end up with people saying hilarious stuff like "Where are all the good stories from the war?" mainly because they've been misinformed. Sad but true and we're living it right now.
BTW Don't forget to put your patio furnature in the pool. Big blow coming in tonight. Ayuh.
Remember Dale, to a liberal like me...a "Big blow" is always a good thing. Actually, on that I think we may all agree...eh wot? A wink's as good as a nod. Nudge, nudge. Is it snowing up there yet?
