Thanks for posting O'Reilly's piece and correcting Reg. However with regard to the following O'Reilly quote, I have a few thoughts:
O'Reilly said: But according to a poll by the Pew Research Center (search), only 32 percent of Americans favor gay marriage. And the will of the people must be taken into account here.
O'Reilly's reference to the "will of the people" interests me. I wonder what the will of the people was at the time of slavery, at the time of Jim Crow, at the time when inter-racial marriage was illegal, at the time when women couldn't vote? Sometimes the will of the people is wrong and the judiciary needs to step in. Not always mind you, but most certainly sometimes.
