For this to be amusing, you must first ignore the graphic nature of it and next realize that our coroner is easily worried.

A few years ago a man living in a downstairs apartment called to complain about blood coming down his walls. For some reason the apartment manager didn't do anything after this first call. A few days later the man called again and said now he had not only blood coming down his wall, but maggots crawling down his walls from the ceiling.

The fire dempartment was called and they kicked in the door to the upstairs apartment, went up and found a decomposing body.

After the coroner and I arrived, it was learned the resident was in poor health and died a natural death. He had no close family and no one missed that he had not been heard from in some time.
