Icon Dean and a Politics Lesson...

I have read a great deal about Dean and some of his possible strategies. For one, it has been written that he is keeping the anger method going in the primaries because so many democrats are angry and he needs to stand apart from them. It has also been suggested that after the democratic primaries Dean is going to start showing the charm. And if one thinks about it, this is very believable because at this time in the presidental election about the only people who pay attention are hard core political junkies and the party faithfuls. And Dean needed to show that he is different from the party usuals, especially the Washington pols.

As for offering a lot of policy ideas, that would be quite damaging. It's too early for that. Broad ideas are fine but heck, you don't want to give the other guy months and months of time to tear it apart.

Lastly, the establishment Democrats are completely missing what Dean has done and what it means for them. What they appear to be ignoring, especially Lieberman, Kerry and Gephardt, is that we hard core Democrats are just as pissed at them as we are Shrub. We are tired of them letting the Democratic Party be a punching bag and not fighting back. It is as if they are ignoring what has gotten them in trouble with hard core democrats - you know, sort of ignoring that what they have been doing the past four years is part of our problem.

Another thing that they are failing to understand is the passion that Dean brings to this segment of the Democratic Party and at their current rate they will be unable to maintain the passion that Dean has created.

It's going to be a long 11 months and this is ample time for the magnifying glass to rightfully examine all of Shrub's lies, which should start receiving more scruitiny as time goes by.
