I am off to see Tift Merritt this eve. If this rain lets up I'll sneak my digital camera in and snap a few pics, then make them available to whoever wants them.
This week I've been doing the octagenarian review. Weds was Alice Cooper, and last night I went to see Frank Marino and Mahogony Rush. Both shows were awesome! Alice was loud and clear, and of course put on an awesome stage show. They played a nice mix of new and old, and spent 0% of the time harping the latest release. Frank Marino was unreal, nearly surreal. The guy wailed on his guitar for three hours and forty five minutes! The whole show went from 8pm-1am. When he finished the crowd was so worn out we just clapped for about a minute and then crawled to our cars.
The opening acts were a mixed bag. For Alice it was Clockwise, a young band from Las Vegas. Boring and completely uninspired. Last night it was The Lizards out of NY. Fun psychedelic rock - definitely worth a listen.
On the wall at Shank Hall in Milwaukee I was pleasantly surprised to see an autographed DB photo from the Bedtime Stories tour.
