I'm not sure what the Pelosi quote is about. It doesn't make sense to me. At first I thought it was made by a democratic centrist when she was being named to take over for Gephardt, but that wasn't in '98.

But two ways to look at all the other quotes are if they were made from the point of views of either getting weapons inspectors back in to Iraq or to give them more time prior to the kick off of the war. However, in some of them more context is needed to get their full meaning.

This is one area in politics that really irritates me on both sides (and Keven g I'm not laying it on your door step, but mostly the media and pundits door step) - when it comes to what people are trying to say, it doesn't do anyone any good when the media, pundits or partisans purposely leave out the entire meaning or misrepresent a person's inten. And this goes for both sides of issues.
