Ok...two more cents.
I'll have to say that the internet probably does more for spreading MISINFORMATION than a lot of other media because of folks like us. Yes, we here at DBIS will hopefully not just put down random thought as FACT and we're pretty good at citing (or is it siting) our sources. But there's no regulation on the boards like you'd have in a medical journal. So, if I say, 100 percent of people polled today said that they thought that George W. Bush was a "buttmunch" there's still no one watching to see if my research was valid or repeatable. In addition, all of my Bush hating population might have just been me, my wife and a few of her friends. With a small population, possibly misleading research instruments and no accountablity, then one can probably assume that info from the net "might be tainted."
But, it's still fun.
