If any of us can remember back as far as a couple of weeks ago, Michael Jackson was arraigned on the same day the Boy President and his handlers announced the installation of Pickering (one day after MLK's 75th B-day) and the Supreme Court (increasingly a subsidiary of the Bush/Cheney junta) announced it was going to let stand the redistricting in Texas. Now, neither of these matters got any play on the news networks because they knew that we, as Americans, would rightly want to hear non-stop about the legal wranglings of its favorite son. So--today, Michael Powell and all the media are yapping about the issuance of a breast shot on network tv. While--today we have out the story on the "investigation" of the WMD matter from the administration. Hmmm, I wonder what the lead story will be. Could it be that the government is contracting with the Jackson family to provide cover for news stories? And by the way, it's a little much for Michael Powell to call anything "a classless, crass and deplorable stunt." Quoi? Excuse me? And of course, calling anything classless during a Super Bowl does sound like praise to me. I love this site. It really does seem to work well quite a lot of the time. Thanks to those who maintain it.
