Hey Willis,

     I saw Peter Mulvey open for Martin Sexton once. It was in a little room about the size of my kitchen. I've got a big kitchen but for a room to see live music I'd call it small. Anyway both of them were fantastic. After the show I chatted with them both. Mulvey was very nice and down to earth...Sexton hit on my girlfriend who was with me. It was hilarious really. We had been talking and she walked over to us and his voice suddenly dropped a couple octaves and he began speaking in what I guess I would call a sexy drawl...I tried not to laugh. In the interests of being fair, Sexton didn't know she was my girlfriend...I didn't say anything about it and for about 30 seconds I listened to him work...then I knew I was going to laugh so I quickly headed for the bar to get a beer.

I watched from a distance hoping he'd do well...I had wanted out of the relationship and it was dragging out...but he sadly failed with her and robbed me of the chance to say I'd lost a girlfriend to Martin Sexton...which would probably have made this story much funnier. Anyway, I still think both of these guys are really good. Now, Mick can jump in and say "Who the fuck is Martin Sexton?"...which actually a lot of people might say but if you haven't heard of him check him out...he's quite a singer...with some great range...and not just when he's hitting on hot chicks.
