Here is why things have changed for Kerry since 92 and why it is alright for him to bring his war experience in Vietnam into the election.....FIrst, since 9/11 George Bush, Dick Cheney and Don Rumsfeld have been running as "War" leaders and I don't besmirch this part. But what I do besmirch is how they have created an environment of that if you are not with them, you are against them. And don't forget....George Bush love to say, "9/11 has changed everything." Then, recall what was done to Max Cleland in Georgia in the 2000 senate race - here, a triple amputee was linked to bin Laden and Hussein by Saxby Chambliss - a draft evader. Not once did George Bush speak out about this terrible senate race. Fast forward to George Bush and his little inflated flight suit excursion. Next, Kerry and the other Democrats KNOW George Bush is going to run on a national security platform.Add all of these together and you can see the picture develop. If George Bush wants to run or act like a true warrior, then he better be able to back it up. If he wants to chant "bring it on" when he is safe in America while our soliders are fighting and dying, then he better be able to back it up. I have to ask the conservatives around here, don't you think it would make your blood boil if you were in actual combat and observed such things? Can you imagine losing three limbs in service to your country, then have some asshole run ads linking you to bin Laden and Hussein? Or get shot while someone like Bush is not only missing a year from his service, but got out 8 months early and then years later, dresses up in a flight suit and parades along an air craft carrier like he is a true bad ass?George Bush has brought this on all himself.....
