DeWester:

I don't see where there is anything to take it easy about. What I was offering was honest, heartfelt spiritual advice. I was not trying to start an argument, but, merely trying to explain that the true meaning of the Christian year-end holiday is not about spending all your money.

Those who have turned it into a materialistic orgy are the ones you should take issue with, I am only trying to point out that this garbage about "be normal, go shopping" mantra that was spouted post 9/11 is sickening and grotesque to me, and I am sure, to others here as well.

By the way, this perverted idea of X-MA$ is the reason why I renounced my Christian baptism and became a Buddhist so many years ago. It feels much better to the soul.

If you sensed righteous indignation on my part, you were 100% correct. If you thought that I was trying to be argumentative, then I am sorry you may have taken it that way, but it certainly wasn't my intention to start any kind of an argument.

However, many of us feel very threatened when our world-view is challenged, and just like they felt when it was discovered that the world wasn't flat, I understand why you may have been upset by my response.

With a clear mind and cool spirit, go back and re-read what I wrote, and please listen to the message, instead of only the words. Then, you might see something quite different.

Peace and Prayers,
