Marc,

You bring up an interesting issue in jobs. One of the things the Dems seem to be bringing up the Bush ignores is how professional jobs are being shipped to India and such.  2 problems face my future presently since I am in the software development area. One is the fact that we still have not really curbed or H1-Visa influx.  These are the Visa's they gave to mostly people from  India to help keep up with the supply of tech jobs needed during the DotCom boom. Well we went into the DotBomb phase and guess what? Still have people from India getting H1-Visa's. Nothing like losing a job opportunity to a non-citizen when you have a family to feed (It happened many times to me). Tech Job fairs were like going to a foreign country. It became sickening.

Did I mention the second thing? The thing I thought would never happen. Shipping jobs to India. Impossible I thought. Wrong again. Dell Computers from Round Rock Texas is making it happen and in a big way. They WERE one of the biggest employers of tech workers here in Austin. No more. So tell me how an American company can send professional jobs overseas taking them away from our citzens here? Hmnnnnnnnn........ I say.....very short sited vision and a lack of patriotism. This is where I draw the line on capitalism.

The Democrats talk a good game about caring about this and I think tax incentives for businesses keeping employees here in the states is a good idea. However I really dont think they would deliver on this but I'm glad they bring it up because Bush will have to respond. Should be interesting
