Does it strike anyone else as odd that once again as it comes time to roll out the huge tax refunds for the little guy that gas prices once again go skyrocketing ?

I remember when I got my first huge whopper refund check from Bush's tax break scheme ( 300 smackers ) that gas immediately went up, up, up and that's pretty much where that refund wound up, back in the hands of big energy.

Is this a coincidence or is this just a monetary bait and switch shuffle jig ?
