Juliana Hatfield? Blake Babies? Oh No, there soooooo 90's! Not get off your ass and listen to some real music, like those CD's a burned you. What'da think of Mr. Veloso? Not your cup of tea ???

Seriously, I use to dig the Blake Babies and Ms. Hatfields early solo records. I saw her open up for the the Lemonheads at a samll club in Tempe, AZ (Sun Club, R.I.P.) back in the early early 90's, I believe. Anyway, needless to say, I drank to much that night (like I allways did back then) and walked up to Juliana, who was in the crowd after her opening set. We got talking, anyhow this was when the Blake Babies were splitting up. She was very bored with my questions regarding her former band. So I told her that "the sound sucked that night and she sounded like shit!" Yes, I couldn't believe the words as they fell from my lips. The lovely, and  talented, Ms. Hatfield quitely walked away. Ah, the power of alcohol. BTW, The Lemonheads sounded like shit as well. Though, if you hung outside in the parking lot, the sound was amazing. Can't tell you how many times I use to hang outside in between beers, for half a show, in order to enjoy the music.That was the beauty of shows at that club. God I miss  it!
