Just pointing out the bottomless American capacity for irony. One week you have pundits saying Hollywood will be tripping all over themselves rushing religious films into production; that Mel's movie heralds a new age of spirituality at the box office.
The next week Jesus is knocked on his keister by a bunch of zombies. Oh well.
Seems to me that both feed some need for catharsis through blood lust. Two sides of the same coin?
