Seriously though, this is the kind of "end of days" thinking (can't really call it a philosophy can we?) that Peter posted about earlier. If the Rapture is coming then all bets are off & as long as you mouth the right words about Jesus you've got your hand stamped & a reserved seat in heaven.

In the meantime the Lord helps those who help themselves and there's plenty of true believers helping themselves just as fast as they can. I think that it's fair to conclude that Bush & Co. reflect some of this apocalyptic fantasy.

Quite a different world view from the one that believes we must choose our present course of action knowing that we are each responsible for the next seven generations of people yet to come.
