okay, i'll put one out there. it's not about what cool albums are lighting up my life or anything, it's mostly just a gripe. if gripes aren't your cup of tea de jour, skip merrily on.

now, it's not that i've devoted my life to the muse or anything...but...here's an occasional side of the deal that rubs me kinda raw, a part of it i could definitely do without:

anyone ever been in a band and find out you've been replaced by...reading the weekly gig listings and finding out that they've been playing gigs without you, all the while telling you that nothing's changed? maybe you've given them 3 years of your life, been responsible and dependable, played the music quite well, taken a ton of work off to tour for peanuts, enjoyed excellent relations/friendships with the guys...maybe they've even recorded the new album (that you helped create) without you, behind your back, leaving you with nothing for your efforts & discography...perhaps the singer was even lying to your face while trying to get you to do his girlfriend a favor all the while (and no, not a sexual favor, either. that i could handle)...

anyone not know where this is headed? (okay, okay, go ahead, Mick, take a hairy swipe). anyway, that was my recent experience with my latest band. lotsa lotsa fun...
