Great fucking idea...and it's about "bloody" time
(Mick accent here). Actually, Dan really originated
this. On one of the bike rides , we were chillin' in
my living room, and I played him my rendition of
Lucas Reilly...he kinda dug it (or was just being
polite), and said.."why don't we do a CD of DBISers
doing their versions of DB songs?" We were gonna
call the CD "Punks n' Drunks", so puhlease use that
title if this comes to fruition. Well, I'm in for mixing and submitting a
"performance" or two. Lemme know. I've got a very
small home recording unit. I record direct with no
gimmicks, and very little editing, but I get (what I
think), is a great sound. I do have a fellow who
does relatively inexpensive mastering, down in
Charlotte NC who'd be happy to lend his services if
we get a compilation. That way we'd have a cohesive
sound, and could "give it a beat, and put it on the
street", so to speak. Again, great idea, and when you know something, tell
me where to send the CD. When you get CD's from all
the folks, I can send to Dave Harris for mastering.
He works with Reflection Studios in Charlotte, and
does an affordable superb job. I'm stoked. This wil
