Yep, that's me. I released that--jeez--more than four years ago.
Why didn't I say so here? I don't know. I took down my musical shingle a long time ago. All the profits from album sales have been going to the Red Cross for several years. And, due to the overwhelming lack of screaming groupies at my concerts, I have come to the conclusion that my musical output is nothing that the world at large is begging to hear.
Also, using the DBIS to toot my own horn is sort of crass. Although I suppose I've just done it. *sigh*
As for how to get your stuff on iTunes (and MusicMatch and Napster 2.0 and wherever else my CD is being sold...I really don't know), the sad fact of the matter is that I really didn't do much of anything. Back when I was running my label full-time, I opened an account with CD Baby; all our albums are still for sale there, and when CD Baby's Derek Sivers (an absolute, genuine, 100% mensch in an industry full of jackanapes) sent an e-mail to all his clients last year outlining the steps we'd have to take to make our music available for digital download, I signed up.
Basically, all I had to do was reaffirm songwriting and publishing information for our catalog and authorize CD Baby to act as our intermediary. It took me about half an hour and didn't cost a penny. I believe their deal is exclusive, but either party can opt out with 30 days' notice, so big whoop. Derek and his gang are extremely helpful, extremely passionate about their work, and--the best part--extremely conscientious about paying.
I've heard there are other avenues for placing product on iTunes, but I have no direct experience with them. Anyway, there you have it...
