From what I understand it's a hoax and there is no Ray Reynolds in the 234th Signal Battalion. There have been other letters like this already and you can find some from Iraqis that dispute the information that are also probably fabricated. As to the info presented some of it is valid but what we get here is distortion. Bottom line is don't trust these email deals.
I would certainly hope we've done some good in Iraq but this is plain ol' political propaganda. My guess is we'll see this letter several times with different soldiers names attached to it. Someone will show up to properly debunk this soon I think. It supposedly has been floating around since late 2003. David M below has already begun the process...
