Pax Americana. The Empire of America. How last century. Europe and China are in ascendence, not this beautiful country. So much bickering, little time. In the early 80's John Kenneth Galbraith once claimed that Henry Kissinger told him that the Cold War was a ruse whereby the governments of Russia and the USA were in cahoots together against their respective peoples. I wish some of you folks would quit fighting long enough to understand that at best we 'may' qualify as pissants in the eyes of the real movers and shakers of this world. But I doubt it. Outside of Jesus Christ, humanities only other hope is to stick together by being French once in a while-the whole country going on strike against our government.

If only humanity was that bright. Bringing back Civics probably wouldn't help either. Any suggestions that do not require vitriol. Y'know, even though I've got this fancy little computer with all sorts of reference materials loaded in it-I still prefer to access a hard bound dictionary.
