Last week, I purchased the following CD's and I think their both worth checking out.

Sam Phillips, A Boot And A Shoe- I find this collection of torch songs to be Sam's best record since Martinis And Bikinis. Her husband, T Bone Burnett produced the album. The following musicians: Carla Azar, Patrick Warren, Jim Keltner Marc Ribot and of course, T Bone play on tracks. This is classy stuff! Glad to see her back on track!

Jolie Holland, Escondida For all of you Bora Jones fans, this is the real deal! Former busker and member of The Be Good Tonya's is also going to tour this summer, make sure you check her out.

On a side note:

Am I the only one on this board who found Rummy's press coverage way out of line? Here's hoping Rummy get's the axe! Making light of his recent toubles with the press (when it's more like his failures!) at the news conference today (while on Iraq soil,) was just plain disrespectful and disgusting!
