Dear editors at Rolling Stone,
Practice What You Preach!!! In the past we use to get wonderfull info on up and comming artists. Just recently I read a little blurb in the "New Faces" section. It was on Neko Case, and I couldn't stop laughing at the fact that Neko has been around for a few years, Where have you been? We use to get thoughtfull articles and reviews on music that matters. Now the cover story is the is on the most recent boy band or better yet, a naked photo of some over-hyped teen pop diva. You tend to review major released albums first and sometimes it takes you over a month to review a CD. But worst yet, what was up with giving the latest Mick Jagger solo record 5 stars? Wake up!!! You claim that the Record Industry is killing music and more importantly missing out on free exsposure to new or little known artists? But hey, you do the same, with very little effort on exposing readers to music that matters! When I read your magazine, or better yet, browse at the grocery store, it's allmost like I'm viewing a printed version of MTV.
Cheers,
Kevin
