I like the Potter series, and let's see, some of the books I've enjoyed lately are:
Into Thin Air & Into the Wild both by Krakauer
In a Sunburned Country & A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson
Touching the Void by Joe Simpson
The Hot Zone
by Richard Preston (this book will scare the hell out of you, Jaws may have kept you out of the water, this one will keep you from breathing or touching anybody!)
