thanks for all these posts. i feel sensitive to the subject, but the actual date never really stuck in my head before. it will now.i grew up with the manhattan project... my dad took a job at los alamos national lab when i was 7, and my family has lived there ever since. los alamos, where the manhattan project developed, is much more of a normal town than it was for 20 years after WWII, but it's still a singular little outpost of scientists and their families in the mountains of
the southwest...the interview, the hiroshima visit, and the rush lyrics (which i'd never seen/heard) are all appreciated.los alamos high school
