While we're sharpening axes and waiting for the next cyber set-to here's another little poll to consider:
"What's the best biography you've read and why?"
Mine is, hands down, "The Power Broker" by Robert Caro. It's the story of Robert Moses who nearly single-handedly shaped NYC in the middle 20th century. Caro is one of hte finest researchers around and aterrific writer. This book is looong: more than 1100 pages but well worth the time!
