GM- You've raised lots of worthy issues here. How much of that Federal Land is National Forest? Surely you're not advocating turning that over to private property developers?
How much private land is held & controlled by large corporations? Sure, it'd be nice if every little family could have their own five acre parcel but let's be realistic. Money is concentrated in the hands of relatively few Americans and private ownership would soon become Very Private indeed.
Lastly, I agree that the Feds have a long tradition of handing out grazing and mineral rights. It's wrong but the solution is not to cede all Federally held land to private owners.
And really lastly. If I'm up (over) your way I'll gladly look you up for that beverage. Thanks for the invite!
