The funny thing about all of this is how little our press and our prez have talked about this election. Venezuela does account for quite a bit of our oil imports...so it's pretty obvious this matter means more than the average non-US election. Really, though, what can Bush say? That electronic voting is not yet ready for primetime? That it is possible for someone to muck with e-voting? I read a story yesterday or the day before about some demonstration of e-voting in front of some California lawmakers. In that little controlled environment - administered by the e-voting makers - the damn things screwed up and mis-counted the votes. It's a mess - no doubt about it.Dan
