Kerry, if he wins, is going to inherit a record national deficit, a quagmire in Iraq, a national health care crisis, and an uphill battle to restore America's credibility with the rest of the world. Will the above mentioned right-wing support him? Fuck no. Watch out. It's going to be non-stop scurrilous attacks. Be prepared. If you care about the country you're living in you're going to have to be ready to be active (beyond arguing with the crew at DBIS) and work to deconstruct the right-wing attack machine.
